Why Your Clitoris is the Key to an Exciting and Satisfying Sex Life

If ‘Sex and the City’ was set in Hong Kong, it would be a pretty boring show if you were to believe some of the statistics being published about sex in our beautiful (but clearly not exciting) metropolis. Especially during COVID lockdown!

According to a study by the condom brand Durex (Global Sex Survey 2016) 69% of Hong Kong citizens who took the survey report not being satisfied with their sex life. The same survey showed 41 percent of Hong Kong men experience an orgasm every time, compared with only 8 percent of women.

8%!!!!

Not only is this very low overall (compare this with 51% of Mexican women who report having an orgasm every time they have sex) but it is indicative of how little Hong Kong women prioritize a fundamental aspect of self-love – our ability to enjoy sexual pleasure.

It’s true that many adults today have received only the most basic sex education – mostly focusing on the scary and unpleasant consequences of sex, like unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections. This has naturally created a lot of false beliefs and emotional barriers which inevitably lead to very little enjoyment of sex.

But it really doesn’t have to be this way.

Sexual satisfaction is not something we can blame on others. I hear a lot of women complaining their partners can’t please them or are not good in bed while at the same time not even knowing how to give themselves an orgasm. Many women still have never actually masturbated or looked at their own vulva! It’s 2020 ladies and it’s time we get our sexy back!

As I’ve met women in their 30’s and 40’s who literally have no idea how the magic of sex happens, here are three little known facts about the ‘queen of female pleasure’ – the all-mighty clit!

  1. You may have heard the clitoris is the tiny bud above the vaginal opening, usually hidden under a little piece of skin called the “clitoral hood”. In reality, this is literally the tip of the iceberg. As researcher Helen O’Connell put it: “The vaginal wall is, in fact, the clitoris. If you lift the skin off the vagina on the sidewalls, you get the bulbs of the clitoris — triangular, crescental masses of erectile tissue,”. Which means that even what we normally describe as a vaginal orgasm (that obtained through penetration with a penis or a dildo) is effectively still due to the stimulation of the clit – just not the visible part. If you’ve never explored this incredibly complex part of your intimate anatomy, have a go now. Feel around the vaginal opening with your fingers, stroking and caressing the labia and take it slow to ensure you are getting aroused. Keep exploring at your leisure, being mindful of the different sensations and textures, until you start feeling your ‘g spot’ (yes, you have one – every woman does!). It will feel different from the rest of the tissue around it, more ‘bouncy’ or ‘spongy’ and a little rougher than the rest. If you start to like the sensations you get by stimulating this area with your fingers, you can upgrade to experimenting with Tsubomi and play with the different speeds and intensity to discover what real pleasure is made of.

  1. The external part of the clitoris mentioned above (called the glans clitoris) is responsible for orgasm in 70% of women. This means that if this part of your anatomy is not being directly stimulated during sex or masturbation, the chances of you experiencing an orgasm are significantly lower. If you have never explored your vagina and never touched this ‘little hill’, you are totally missing out so why not giving it a try today. It has also been proven that stimulating the top left quadrant of the clit (think 2 o’clock on the watch face) is most conducive to reaching climax so take your time exploring and enjoying the different sensations when you touch this powerhouse of pleasure. If you want to experience a totally new level of bliss, just a few minutes of experimenting with the two beautifully soft vibrating tongues of the Tsubaki vibrator and you may just have the best orgasm of your life.

  1. The clit is one of the most sensitive parts in your body due to its whopping 8000 nerve endings. This Queen Of Pleasure was designed by Mother Nature only for the purpose of giving you MIND-BLOWING orgasms! Whether you approach it with a soft feathery touch of your fingers or experiment with different types of pressure, movements, or any product in the YVEREST range, rest assured that this little lady is very resilient and full of surprises.  Give her a lot of attention and she will pay you back with lots and lots of pleasure which is entirely in your control.

When you know exactly where and how you need to be touched, you will be able to take full responsibility and control of your own orgasm – and sex will be a LOT more fun.
